Purpose of the role:
The purpose of the role is to oversee waste management operations, including collection, sorting, recycling, and disposal activities. This involves ensuring compliance with environmental regulations and company policies to promote sustainability and minimize environmental impact. The role requires alignment with project requirements while consistently upholding high standards of safety, efficiency, and quality.
The role includes but is not limited to:
Operate waste management activities efficiently
Coordinate waste collection and disposal efforts
Ensure compliance with waste regulations
Monitor waste handling procedures
Train staff on proper waste management practices
Maintain accurate records of waste transactions
Conduct waste audits and inspections
Follow safety protocols and guidelines
Assist in waste reduction and recycling initiatives
Support facility management team in waste-related tasks
Skills
Knowledge of waste management practices and regulations
Ability to coordinate waste collection and disposal activities according to the recycled materials
Understanding of recycling and waste reduction initiatives
Basic troubleshooting skills for waste management issues
Compliance with waste management federal regulations and guidelines
