Job Summary
Operate and monitor the continuous cooking CCM equipment from a centralized pulpit, ensuring optimal process parameters are maintained. Safely manage raw material feeding systems—including chip bins and chemical tanks—to guarantee a consistent and quality pulp supply. Precisely control chemical dosages and reaction temperatures within the digester to achieve target pulp properties and maximize yield. Continuously analyze pulp samples and adjust process variables in real‑time to meet stringent quality specifications.
Responsibilities
- Oversee and maintain CCM pulpit operator tasks for the steel‑making plant.
- Ensure sufficient availability of machinery, consumables, and tools required for the smooth operation of the ladle furnace.
- Maintain process parameters at the CCM pulpit work station in accordance with process sheets or supervisor instructions.
- Report any CCM pulpit abnormalities observed during execution and seek guidance from the supervisor.
Qualifications
- 3+ years of experience as a control‑room pulp operator in a steel plant.
- Higher secondary school certificate or ITI qualification.
- Willingness to work six days per week.
