DESCRIPTION
To help us maintain our high standards of service, we are seeking an experienced and accomplished Logistics Supervisor, to drive both innovation and execution in our busy Transportation network.
Your responsibilities:
Support the overall, daily management of operational duties, deputizing for the Operations Manager as needed.
Prioritize and continually improve safety at the delivery station.
Supervise logistics assistants, coordinators, and delivery associates to ensure every shipment meets and exceeds operational KPIs.
Monitor coordinator and associate performance and coach them when needed.
Partner with supporting departments to improve logistics processes and operations.
Communicate with delivery service providers to set expectations and raise quality standards.
Interview candidates for associate roles.
Brief and monitor the workload of all drivers and associates, ensuring administrative tasks are accurately completed.
Measure and monitor overall workflows and daily metrics to assist the Operations Manager with tracking and reporting on site performance.
Help with training and mentoring new Associates, ensuring they have the necessary knowledge to succeed.
Follow up on and resolve process-related issues as needed.
Perform physical activities such as pushing carts with up to 100 pounds and lifting packages up to 15 kg.
Be flexible to work different shifts and do overtime when needed.
Resource your function from a personal standpoint, including training needs and performance management.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
– Experience in warehouse operations
– Experience in logistics
– 1+ years of experience with Microsoft Office products and applications
– High school diploma or equivalent
– Ability to work a flexible schedule/shift/work area, including weekends, nights, and/or holidays
– Ability to lift up to 49 pounds, stand/walk during shifts lasting up to 12 hours, and frequently push, pull, squat, bend, and reach
– Ability to work 40 hours/week, and overtime as required
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
– Are 18 years of age or older
– Experience with planning, performance metrics, and process improvement
