Operations Readiness Analyst, Accounts Payable
Amazon Finance & Global Business Services (FGBS) plays a key role in the company’s mission to be Earth’s most customer-centric company. FGBS includes finance functions like Financial Planning and Analysis (FP&A), Accounting, Tax, as well as other functions like Global Real Estate and Facilities (GREF), Investor Relations, and Benchmarking. As the company continues to scale, we are seeking an Operations Readiness (ORT) analyst to lead projects for the LATAM AP organization, at the Costa Rica Center.
This position will support Accounts Payable (AP) Operations, mainly focused on new launches and business expansions.
Key responsibilities include:
Being the link between PMO (projects team) and the AP operation function.
Documenting new business cases impacting the operation.
Training the AP team in new processes.
Raising impacts/risks for AP impacting the operation.
Hiring, training, and employee development.
Acting as an escalation point in resolving complex outstanding issues with internal and external business partners.
Ensuring the correct application of controls to the data and working with Tech teams to develop the right solutions to automate the process.
The successful candidate will have a strong desire to innovate processes and exceed expectations in a dynamic, fast-paced environment, primarily driving innovation on behalf of customers/vendors.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
– 2+ years of finance experience
– 2+ years of applying key financial performance indicators (KPIs) to analyses experience
– 1+ years of Accounts Payable (AP) experience
– Experience using data to influence business decisions
– Experience in corporate finance including budgeting/planning, forecasting and reporting
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
– 2+ years of participating in continuous improvement projects in your team to scale and improve controllership with measurable results experience
