This is a start-up project to open pilot convenience stores in Riyadh. We’re looking for an experienced and strategic Retail Operations Manager to lead our retail team. As a Retail Operations Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing and optimizing all aspects of store operations to enhance efficiency, customer satisfaction, opening new stores, and overall business performance.

The ideal candidate should have strong leadership skills, a deep understanding of retail operations, and a proven track record of successful management in a retail setting.

Objectives of this role:

Oversee and coordinate day-to-day retail operations to ensure smooth and efficient functioning

Develop and implement operational policies and procedures to enhance productivity and customer service

Monitor and analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) to identify areas for improvement

Collaborate with department heads to optimize inventory management, merchandising, and sales strategies

Manage and lead a diverse team of retail staff, providing guidance and support

Implement training programs to enhance staff skills and product knowledge

Drive initiatives to improve customer experience, satisfaction, and loyalty

Collaborate with the marketing team to plan and execute promotions and events

Ensure compliance with safety and security standards and handle emergency situations as needed

Evaluate and select vendors, negotiate contracts, and manage relationships to support operational needs

Visit sites the business is considering evaluating challenges to new store opening

Liaising with architects, agents, acquisition surveyors and retail colleagues to agree optimum store layout, finishes and any necessary enabling works.

Undertake planning management activities to ensure that necessary statutory approvals and compliances are met.

Instruction of architects and other professionals for any necessary planning or other approvals required.

Ordering store equipments and following to receive on time without any missing

Following stores handover process from Biz Dev dpt

After handover store from Biz Dev filling the stores according to planogram, display promo items.

Required skills and qualifications:

Proven experience as a Retail Operations Manager or in a similar managerial role

Strong understanding of retail operations, merchandising, and customer service principles

Excellent leadership and organizational abilities

Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret data and make informed decisions

Effective communication and interpersonal skills

Knowledge of inventory management, supply chain, and logistics

Ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamicretail environment

Familiarity with retail software and point-of-sale systems

Bachelor’s degree in Business, Retail Management, or a related field

Proactive and results-driven with a focus on continuous improvement
