Job Title: IT Support Engineer (L1)

Location: Dubai
Reports To: IT Manager / Service Delivery Manager

About the Role:

We are looking for an IT Support Engineer to join our team in Dubai. You will be responsible for managing and maintaining our IT systems, ensuring everything runs smoothly, and providing excellent support to our users. Key Responsibilities:

Infrastructure Management:
Set up and manage Windows Servers (2016, 2019, 2022), Ubuntu, and RHEL systems.
Maintain firewalls (Fortinet, SonicWall) to keep the network secure.
Monitor and configure storage systems and perform regular backups using tools like StorageCraft.
Network and Security:
Manage Active Directory (AD), DNS, DHCP, and TCP/IP settings.
Set up and troubleshoot VPNs and remote access for employees.
Optimize and secure the network by configuring switches, VLANs, and resolving physical issues like cable patching.
Email and Communication Systems:
Administer Microsoft 365 and Google Workspace email platforms.
Configure IMAP protocols and ensure email security.
Virtualization and Tools:
Deploy and manage virtual machines using VMware and Hyper-V.
Use ITSM tools like ConnectWise and SCCM to manage tickets and automate updates.
Endpoint Support:
Fix hardware and software issues for desktops, laptops, printers, and mobile devices.
Install and troubleshoot operating systems like Windows 10/11, Ubuntu, and RHEL.
Performance and Security:
Monitor servers, storage, and networks to ensure they run smoothly.
Perform regular updates and patches to keep systems secure.
Protect against threats like phishing and malware.
Documentation and Reporting:
Keep detailed records of configurations, processes, and troubleshooting steps.
Prepare reports on system performance and incidents for management.

What We’re Looking For:

Technical Skills:
Experience with Windows Server, Ubuntu, RHEL, and Windows 10/11.
Knowledge of networking protocols (DNS, DHCP, TCP/IP) and tools like firewalls and switches.
Familiarity with Microsoft 365, Google Workspace, VMware, and Hyper-V.
Hands-on experience with ITSM tools like ConnectWise and SCCM.
Soft Skills:
Strong problem-solving and communication skills.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks.
Team player with a focus on improving user satisfaction.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, or a related field.
Certifications like CCNA, MCSA, VMware, or ITIL are a plus.

Work Hours and Experience:

Full-time: 40 hours per week, with occasional after-hours or weekend support.
Experience:
2–4 years in IT support and infrastructure management.
Minimum 2 years of UAE experience is mandatory.

Performance Metrics:

Resolve 90% of tickets within the agreed time.
Achieve >90% user satisfaction in feedback surveys.
Resolve high-priority incidents within 15 minutes.
Maintain 100% accuracy in IT asset inventory.
