Key Responsibilities
– Analyze crude oil and petroleum products to determine composition, properties, and other characteristics.
– Develop and implement chemical processes for lab and chemical testing.
– Design and oversee laboratory experiments and pilot plant operations to test new processes or improve existing ones.
– Work closely with process engineers to integrate chemical treatment methods into overall asset management strategies.
– Develop formulations for chemical additives used in production processes to enhance efficiency and safety.
– Monitor and optimize the performance of chemical processes and ensure compliance with environmental and safety standards.
– Provide technical expertise in troubleshooting process issues related to chemical reactions or treatments.
– Evaluate new technologies and chemical products that can provide competitive advantages or operational improvements.
– Prepare technical reports, publish research papers, and present findings to management and industry stakeholders.
– Ensure quality control of raw materials and finished products through rigorous chemical testing and analysis.
