Full job description
Project Engineer is required for a main contractor based in Dubai. The right candidate should be civil engineering graduate with a minimum experience of 5-6 years in construction companies in UAE. Preferably in commercial and industrial projects. Candidate should be able to supervise the construction team and the subcontractors by providing the short and long term plans for the construction activities.

Responsibilities:
1. Project Planning and Coordination:
– Develop, manage, and update comprehensive project schedules and timelines to ensure project milestones are achieved.
– Prepare and manage the Bill of Quantities (BOQ), ensuring accurate cost estimation and allocation.
– Efficiently allocate resources (materials, labor, and equipment) to ensure smooth project execution.
– Coordinate with subcontractors and stakeholders to ensure adherence to project requirements and deadlines.
– Review and analyze project documentation, including specifications, drawings, and other relevant materials, ensuring they align with site execution needs.
2. Material Management:
– Possess in-depth knowledge of the local market to source quality materials at competitive prices.
– Conduct material quality inspections on-site to ensure that all materials meet specified requirements and standards.
3. Site Management:
– Oversee daily operations on the construction site, ensuring efficient use of time and resources.
– Monitor progress and performance of construction activities, addressing any issues or delays promptly to keep the project on track.
– Perform regular site inspections and provide detailed reports on the project’s progress, identifying any potential risks or delays.
4. Technical Support:
– Provide technical support and guidance to the site team, resolving issues related to design and construction.
– Review and interpret construction drawings and specifications, ensuring accurate and compliant implementation.
– Track and manage project changes, including modifications to scope, design, or other project elements, ensuring proper documentation and communication with all stakeholders.
5. Compliance and Safety:
– Enforce and monitor safety protocols on-site to ensure a safe working environment for all personnel.
– Ensure compliance with Dubai Municipality building codes, regulations, and industry standards throughout the project lifecycle.
– Conduct safety audits and implement corrective actions when necessary to maintain high standards of safety and compliance.
Qualifications and Requirements:
– Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or a related field.
– Minimum of 5 years of local experience in construction project management for residential buildings ,Warehouses and similar projects.
– Proficiency in MS Projects, Microsoft Office, and AutoCAD.
– Strong understanding of construction methods, materials, and regulations in the UAE.
– Excellent organizational, problem-solving, and communication skills.
– Ability to work effectively under pressure and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
-Strong leadership and interpersonal skills to manage teams and collaborate with stakeholders.
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: AED5,000.00 – AED7,000.00 per month
