we are looking for Customs Coordinator with HFZA experience, who will be responsible for handling and overseeing customs clearance procedures, ensuring compliance with UAE regulations, and facilitating smooth import and export operations within HFZA. The role involves liaising with customs authorities, coordinating with freight forwarders, and ensuring proper documentation to prevent delays in shipments.
Key Responsibilities:
Customs Clearance & Compliance:
Handle import, export, and re-export customs clearance processes for goods within HFZA.
Ensure compliance with UAE customs laws, HFZA regulations, and international trade policies.
Prepare and submit required documentation (Bill of Entry, Bill of Lading, Commercial Invoice, Packing List, etc.) for customs clearance.
Verify HS codes, duties, and tariff classifications for imported and exported goods.
Maintain updated knowledge of customs regulations, tariff structures, and trade agreements applicable to HFZA.
Coordination & Documentation:
Liaise with freight forwarders, shipping lines, and government authorities for smooth cargo movement.
Coordinate with suppliers, customers, and internal teams to ensure timely clearance and delivery of shipments.
Process duty exemptions, customs deposits, and refund claims as per applicable regulations.
Track and monitor shipments to prevent demurrage and detention charges.
Maintain accurate records of customs clearance activities for audit and reporting purposes.
Process Improvement & Problem Resolution:
Identify bottlenecks in customs processes and suggest improvements for faster clearance.
Resolve discrepancies, customs disputes, or clearance delays by liaising with the relevant authorities.
Ensure all documentation and procedures align with best practices and regulatory requirements.
Qualifications & Skills:
Education & Experience:
Minimum 3-5 years of experience in customs clearance, preferably within HFZA experience.
Familiarity with UAE customs systems such as Mirsal 2.
