Lucretia Agency, specializing in real estate in Dubai, is looking for an experienced Senior Accountant to oversee the company’s financial operations. This role requires a highly organized and detail-oriented professional with at least 10 years of experience in accounting, capable of ensuring accurate financial reporting, managing VAT and Corporate Tax, and providing strategic financial insights to support business decisions.
The ideal candidate will manage all accounting operations, ensure payment tracking, liaise with real estate developers, and guarantee compliance with financial and tax regulations in the UAE.
Financial Management & Accounting:
Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
Ensure compliance with IFRS standards and company accounting policies.
Supervise general ledger management, ensuring monthly and annual closing.
Perform monthly bank reconciliations and resolve discrepancies.
Analyze budget variances and provide financial recommendations.
Payment & Transaction Management:
Develop and manage payment plans for clients.
Oversee developer file tracking and manage accounts payable and receivable.
Supervise billing processes, payment follow-ups, and credit management.
Handle cash remittances and ensure bank deposit reconciliations.
Tax & Compliance Management:
Prepare and file VAT and Corporate Tax returns in accordance with local regulations.
Conduct tax monitoring and manage audits and controls with authorities.
Implement internal controls to safeguard company assets.
Coordinate with external auditors and ensure the implementation of their recommendations.
Administrative & Staff Management:
Oversee visa processing and other administrative formalities for the company and employees.
Supervise payroll processing in compliance with local regulations.
Lead and mentor the accounting team, providing guidance and professional development.
Cost Management & Financial Optimization:
Analyze and optimize the cost structure of the agency.
Develop strategies to enhance financial efficiency and reduce costs.
Conduct profitability analyses to support strategic business decisions.
Required Profile:
Experience: Minimum 10 years in accounting, with some experience in real estate or financial services in the UAE preferred.
Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or equivalent.
Professional Certification (Preferred): CA (Chartered Accountant), ACCA, CPA, or CMA.
Technical Skills:
Expertise in financial reporting, budgeting, and general ledger management.
Strong knowledge of IFRS standards and UAE tax regulations (VAT, Corporate Tax).
Experience with accounting software (Tally, QuickBooks, SAP, Xero, etc.).
Advanced proficiency in MS Excel and financial tools.
Personal Skills:
High attention to detail and accuracy.
Ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently and meet tight deadlines.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with an initiative-driven approach.
Excellent communication and team leadership skills.
Languages: Fluent English is mandatory (French is a plus).
