We’re Hiring: Network Technician
We are looking for an experienced Network Technician to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for installing, monitoring, maintaining, and troubleshooting computer networks and supporting IT infrastructure to ensure secure, reliable, and efficient network operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the implementation of the IT Department’s operational plan.
- Identify, evaluate, and select appropriate network and server systems and equipment.
- Install and configure network devices, operating systems, and related software.
- Support LAN and WAN network environments.
- Provide technical support for network installation, testing, operating systems, and related infrastructure.
- Perform testing and performance analysis on network components, cabling, peripherals, and servers.
- Monitor network performance and identify issues such as network congestion and connectivity problems.
- Diagnose and troubleshoot issues related to network devices, cabling, and servers, and escalate complex faults when required.
- Conduct regular preventive and corrective maintenance for network devices and supporting systems.
- Monitor infrastructure readiness and performance and perform required updates and modifications.
- Ensure compliance with applicable network standards, policies, and usage requirements.
- Support different work locations when required for network installation and troubleshooting.
- Perform other related duties assigned by the direct manager.
Required Qualifications & Experience
- Technical qualification or diploma specializing in Computer Networks, Computer Technology, or a related field.
- 3–5 years of relevant experience in network and IT support.
- Strong understanding of network systems, servers, cabling, and network troubleshooting.
- Hands-on experience in installing and maintaining network equipment.
- Good understanding of common issues affecting communication and network systems.
- Ability to use relevant technical tools and electrical equipment.
- Good verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to travel to different work locations for network installation and maintenance when required.
