About the Role

We are seeking a Network Performance Monitoring Engineer with expertise in Riverbed NetIM and enterprise monitoring platforms. This role focuses on observability, performance visibility, and proactive issue detection across large-scale enterprise networks.

Key Responsibilities

  • Operate and administer monitoring platforms (SolarWinds, Riverbed NetIM).
  • Configure SNMP polling, device onboarding, health checks, thresholds, and alerts.
  • Monitor network availability, latency, utilization, and performance trends.
  • Troubleshoot incidents and manage change requests via BMC ITSM.
  • Perform RCA using monitoring data and historical trends.
  • Automate monitoring tasks with Linux shell scripting and Python.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams (Network, Security, Server, Application).
  • Maintain dashboards, documentation, and operational procedures.

Required Skills & Experience

  • 3+ years in Network Performance Monitoring roles.
  • Strong hands-on experience with SNMP-based monitoring tools (SolarWinds, Riverbed NetIM).
  • Background in Linux/Windows server administration (supporting monitoring platforms).
  • 3+ years of scripting experience (Linux shell, Python).
  • Hands-on experience with BMC ITSM (incident & change management).
  • Solid understanding of TCP/UDP, HTTP/HTTPS, DNS, SSL/TLS.

Preferred Skills

  • Experience with large-scale enterprise networks (Data Center, WAN, Branch, ISP).
  • Alert tuning, noise reduction, and threshold optimization.
  • Dashboard/report creation and performance baselining.
  • Familiarity with ITIL processes and operational best practices.

Soft Skills

  • Strong analytical and troubleshooting mindset.
  • Clear communication of performance insights.
  • Proactive approach to monitoring and incident prevention.
  • Excellent documentation and stakeholder communication skills.
