Network & System Engineer
The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing and maintaining enterprise network infrastructure, server environments, virtualization platforms, and security systems to ensure high availability, performance, and business continuity. You will troubleshoot complex infrastructure issues, implement security best practices, and support the organization's IT strategy through continuous improvement and technology optimization.
Responsibilities
- Deploy, administer, and support Cisco Unified Communications (CUCM), Cisco Unity Connection, SIP trunks, and voice gateways.
- Manage Windows Server environments, including Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, Group Policy, IIS, and virtualization platforms (VMware & Hyper-V).
- Configure, maintain, and troubleshoot Cisco switching infrastructure, LAN/WAN connectivity, VPNs, and enterprise Wi-Fi.
- Administer Fortinet Firewalls, Web Application Firewalls (WAF), and implement network security policies.
- Manage SAN storage, enterprise backup solutions, disaster recovery, and business continuity processes.
- Monitor network, server, and security performance using enterprise monitoring and SIEM tools, including Splunk.
- Investigate and resolve network, infrastructure, and security incidents while maintaining compliance with organizational policies.
- Develop technical documentation and recommend infrastructure improvements to enhance reliability, scalability, and security.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- 5+ years of experience in Network and Systems Engineering within an enterprise environment.
- Strong experience with Cisco networking and Unified Communications technologies.
- Hands-on experience with Windows Server, Active Directory, VMware, and/or Hyper-V virtualization.
- Experience managing Fortinet Firewalls, VPNs, network security, and enterprise monitoring tools.
- Knowledge of SAN storage, backup solutions, disaster recovery, and business continuity planning.
- Experience with SIEM platforms, vulnerability management, and security incident response.
- Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and communication skills with the ability to support critical enterprise infrastructure.
