Museum Guide Jobs in Doha at BPO PLUS
- Provides appropriate tours to museum visitors including Heads of State, VIPs, other guests, school groups and general public.
- Develops knowledge of the museum’s collection and exhibitions for dissemination through live tours.
- Develops skills in audience-appropriate delivery and engagement of different age-groups.
- Conducts daily tours of the museum’s permanent collection, selected special exhibitions and museum spaces to a high standard and in accordance with approved scripts and information provided by curatorial and education staff, and external approved consultants.
- Be available for tours during museum opening days and hours as per allocated roster, beyond QM office hours, and present all tours in a timely, courteous and professional manner.
- Takes a full and equal share in the team roster which will include early shifts for school tours, weekends, evenings (during Ramadan especially) and government holiday periods (e.g. Eid ul Fitr, Eid ul Adha and other national holidays).
- Undertakes regular independent research about the museum’s collection and maintain an independent research folder with relevant information for reference and continuous study.
- Attends regular training sessions and tour presentation techniques and methods as advised by management.
