Job Purpose:
To carry out landscape maintenance, irrigation, and general technical maintenance activities to ensure landscapes, irrigation systems, equipment, and related facilities are maintained safely, efficiently, and to the required standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Carry out routine landscape maintenance, including planting, pruning, trimming, grass cutting, weeding, and general garden upkeep.
- Operate and maintain irrigation systems, including pumps, valves, sprinklers, drip irrigation, pipes, filters, and irrigation controllers.
- Identify and rectify irrigation leaks, blockages, pressure issues, faulty valves, damaged pipes, and malfunctioning sprinkler systems.
- Perform preventive and corrective maintenance of irrigation pumps, control panels, timers, and related equipment.
- Carry out basic plumbing works related to landscape and irrigation systems.
- Assist with basic electrical works associated with irrigation systems, landscape lighting, pumps, and controllers, within the employee’s competency and authorization.
- Operate and maintain landscaping tools, machinery, and equipment safely.
- Conduct routine inspections of landscape areas and identify maintenance requirements, defects, or potential hazards.
- Respond promptly to breakdowns, irrigation failures, and other landscape-related maintenance requests.
- Maintain proper records of inspections, maintenance activities, breakdowns, and materials used.
- Coordinate with supervisors, engineers, and other maintenance teams as required.
- Ensure all work is carried out in accordance with company procedures, client requirements, and applicable health and safety standards.
- Maintain tools, equipment, and work areas in a clean and safe condition.
- Use personal protective equipment (PPE) and follow all site safety requirements.
- Support other landscape and general maintenance activities as reasonably required.
Required Qualifications & Experience
- ITI, vocational qualification, or technical certification in landscaping, irrigation, horticulture, electrical, plumbing, or a related field is preferred.
- Minimum 2–3 years of relevant experience in landscape maintenance and irrigation works.
- Practical knowledge of irrigation systems, pumps, valves, sprinklers, drip irrigation, and controllers.
- Basic knowledge of plumbing and electrical systems is an advantage.
- UAE/GCC experience in landscape or facilities management is preferred
