Requirements
Qualifications and experience:
Degree-level qualification in education, special education, or a related field
Experience supporting middle school students, especially within an IB setting
Familiarity with the IB Middle Years Programme (MYP) and its framework
Strong understanding of adolescent development and the ability to support students’ academic, social, and emotional needs
Knowledge and Skills:
Alignment with IB Learner Profile and IB Mission
Understanding of international-mindedness and holistic student development
Strong communication skills adaptable to a multicultural environment, effective with students, parents, and staff
Proficiency in differentiated instruction and assessment to meet diverse needs
Experience implementing and managing IEPs and Learning Plans
Ability to collaborate with Learning Support Assistants for cohesive support
Effective parent communication skills to engage and inform about student progress
Responsibilities
Collaborate with Learning Support Assistants to provide appropriate support
Coordinate with Support staff for timely student assistance and intervention sessions
Participate actively in Student Support Team and Inclusion Meetings
Engage in interdisciplinarycollaboration for holistic student support
Pursue ongoing learning in IB MYP, differentiation, and adolescent psychology
Participate in extracurricular activities to foster student relationships
Monitor and support student progress through regular assessments and data analysis
