The Middle East (ME) Accountant supports Prophet’s finance function for the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia (KSA) and Dubai. This role is responsible for accounts receivable (A/R), accounts payable (A/P), and general ledger support for the KSA and Dubai entities. The ME Accountant will work closely with Project Finance Support to oversee the full cash cycle, financial reconciliation, and reporting, ensuring strong financial management of client relationships.

Your Day to DayFinance and Accounting Responsibilities

Manage A/P, including coding, processing, and paying all vendor and company bills for KSA and Dubai.

Handle A/R, including creating, processing, and mailing client invoices for KSA and Dubai.

Oversee payroll processing for KSA and Dubai with support from the payroll and People teams.

Collaborate with the EMEA Senior Accountant to track unbilled and deferred costs, working alongside Project Finance Support.

Assist with audit requests from external auditors and regulatory authorities.

Support EMEA bookkeepers in providing monthly statutory account information.

Help the EMEA Senior Accountant compile information for regional tax returns.

Maintain meticulous financial records and files required for external advisors.

Project Team Assistance

Generate invoices in line with project invoicing schedules and support payment processing with Project Finance Support.

Maintain accurate records of project financials and share information as needed.

Review Arabic-language client agreements to assist Project Finance Support.

Work closely with account teams to research and resolve client financial discrepancies and issues.

Other Duties

Provide ad hoc support to other Prophet corporate functions as needed.

What You Bring Qualifications & Experience

Business proficiency in spoken and written Arabic and English is mandatory.

Undergraduate degree in accounting, finance, economics, or business.

Basic understanding of financial and accounting concepts.

Experience with NetSuite is a plus; ability to learn new systems quickly.

Relevant work experience, including professional experience in the Middle East.

Strong business judgment, maturity, and professionalism.

Proficiency in Excel, including vlookups and pivot tables.

Attention to detail with strong written and verbal communication skills.
