Responsible for operating and monitoring metal smelting furnaces (such as copper), adjusting temperature levels, and handling raw materials while ensuring the smelting process is followed to guarantee production quality and operational safety. Works within the production team and adheres to industrial safety procedures within the plant.
Duties & Responsibilities
* Operate metal smelting furnaces according to standard operating procedures.
* Safely load copper or raw metals into the furnace.
* Monitor temperature levels and adjust them according to production requirements.
* Follow the smelting process and ensure the required quality and quantity are met.
* Pour the molten metal into molds or production lines as required.
* Conduct regular inspections of the furnace to ensure operational safety and prevent malfunctions.
* Clean the work area and furnace after each production cycle.
* Report any technical issues or safety hazards to the direct supervisor.
* Adhere to personal protective equipment (PPE) requirements.
* Record daily operational data (temperature – quantity – operating time).
* Collaborate with the maintenance team as needed for repairs.
