Job Description:

Mergers & Acquisitions

Contribute to the development and refinement of the company’s M&A strategy in alignment with QEWC’s overall business objectives, including the identification of potential acquisition or merger opportunities.

Support all phases of the M&A lifecycle—from initial target screening and financial due diligence to transaction execution and post-merger integration.

Conduct thorough market research and industry analysis to uncover trends, risks, and opportunities for strategic M&A activities.

Assess potential targets by analyzing financial statements, business models, and market positioning.

Build financial models and perform valuation analyses to evaluate the potential impact of transactions.

Prepare investment proposals and business cases for senior leadership and board-level review.

Generate progress reports and present key insights and recommendations to the M&A Manager.

Monitor post-merger integration to ensure strategic objectives and synergies are realized.

Support negotiations and due diligence processes, liaising with external advisors and consultants as needed.

Track and report key performance indicators (KPIs) related to M&A and integration efforts.

Strategic Contribution

Translate divisional strategy into actionable sectional business plans, ensuring alignment across vertical and horizontal business interfaces.

People Management

Drive the achievement of departmental objectives by setting clear goals, monitoring performance, and developing staff to enhance overall team effectiveness.

Champion talent development efforts in collaboration with subject matter experts, ensuring the section is equipped with the right capabilities to meet business needs.

Budgeting and Financial Planning

Oversee the preparation of the section’s budget and monitor actual performance against budgetary targets, ensuring compliance with financial and operational guidelines.

Policies, Systems, Processes & Procedures

Design and implement robust departmental policies, systems, and procedures to ensure compliance with internal and regulatory standards while delivering high-quality, cost-effective outcomes.

Continuous Improvement

Lead continuous improvement initiatives across departmental processes and systems, proactively adapting to evolving business environments and industry best practices.
