Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced MEP Procurement Officer to manage the procurement of Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing (MEP) materials, equipment, and subcontractor services for construction projects. The ideal candidate will have strong supplier management skills, sound knowledge of MEP products, and the ability to ensure timely and cost-effective procurement while maintaining quality standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Source and procure MEP materials, equipment, and services in line with project requirements.
- Obtain and evaluate quotations, negotiate pricing, payment terms, and delivery schedules.
- Prepare purchase orders and ensure compliance with company procurement procedures.
- Coordinate with project managers, engineers, and site teams to understand material requirements and delivery timelines.
- Develop and maintain relationships with approved suppliers and subcontractors.
- Track purchase orders and follow up to ensure timely deliveries.
- Resolve supply issues, delivery delays, and quality concerns with vendors.
- Monitor inventory levels and recommend stock replenishment where applicable.
- Maintain procurement records, supplier databases, and cost reports.
- Support cost-saving initiatives through effective negotiation and supplier evaluation.
- Ensure all procured materials meet project specifications and quality standards.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or Diploma in Mechanical, Electrical Engineering, Supply Chain, or a related field.
- 3–5 years of procurement experience in the MEP or construction industry within the UAE.
- Good knowledge of MEP materials, suppliers, and local market pricing.
- Strong negotiation, communication, and organizational skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel; experience with ERP systems is an advantage.
- Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple procurement activities simultaneously.
- UAE driving license is preferred but not mandatory.
