About the Role
A leading MEP Interior Fit-Out Company in Dubai is seeking a highly skilled MEP Estimation Engineer (Electrical) with strong experience in electrical estimation for interior fit-out and electromechanical projects. The ideal candidate should have 3–5 years of UAE experience in an MEP or Electromechanical contracting company and possess excellent knowledge of electrical systems, cost estimation, and tendering.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare accurate cost estimates for Electrical and MEP Interior Fit-Out projects.
- Review tender documents, drawings, BOQs, and technical specifications.
- Perform quantity take-offs for electrical systems and MEP services.
- Prepare detailed material, labor, and subcontractor cost estimates.
- Obtain quotations from suppliers and subcontractors and evaluate pricing.
- Coordinate with the design, procurement, and project execution teams during the tender stage.
- Identify value engineering opportunities to optimize project costs.
- Prepare technical and commercial proposals for project submissions.
- Attend pre-bid meetings and respond to client clarifications.
- Ensure estimates comply with UAE regulations, project specifications, and industry standards.
- Support project handover by providing estimation details to the execution team.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering or a related engineering discipline.
- 3–5 years of UAE experience in an MEP Contracting or Electromechanical Company.
- Strong knowledge of Electrical Estimation for Interior Fit-Out and MEP projects.
- Experience in reviewing drawings, BOQs, and tender documentation.
- Familiarity with UAE electrical standards, DEWA regulations, and MEP installation practices.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, MS Excel, and estimation software.
- Strong analytical, commercial, and negotiation skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet tender submission deadlines.
- Excellent communication skills in English.
