We’re Hiring | MEP Estimation Engineer
Location: Abu Dhabi, UAE
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced MEP Estimation Engineer to join our growing team. The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing accurate project cost estimates, tender pricing, and commercial proposals for Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing (MEP) projects.
Key Responsibilities
- Review MEP drawings, specifications, BOQs, and tender documents.
- Review quantity take-offs prepared by the Quantity Surveying team.
- Prepare detailed MEP cost estimates and competitive tender pricing.
- Analyze material, labor, equipment, and subcontractor costs.
- Obtain, evaluate, and negotiate quotations from suppliers and subcontractors.
- Prepare technical and commercial tender submissions.
- Perform value engineering and recommend cost optimization solutions.
- Analyze project risks and pricing strategies.
- Coordinate with Quantity Surveying, Procurement, Engineering, and Project Management teams.
- Participate in tender clarification meetings when required.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related discipline.
- Minimum 5 years of experience as an MEP Estimation Engineer in MEP contracting companies.
- Strong knowledge of MEP tendering, estimation, pricing, and cost analysis.
- Experience in reviewing MEP BOQs and quantity take-offs.
- Good knowledge of HVAC, Plumbing, Fire Fighting, and Electrical systems.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, AutoCAD, and MS Office.
- Experience with estimation software and ERP systems is an advantage.
- Excellent analytical, commercial, negotiation, and reporting skills.
- UAE experience is highly preferred.
