MEP Estimation Engineer Jobs in Qatar at Confidential
We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Estimation Engineer – MEP Systems to join our team in Qatar. This role is ideal for professionals with strong expertise in tendering, cost estimation, and bid preparation for large-scale Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing (MEP) projects.
The successful candidate will play a critical role in preparing competitive and accurate estimates for complex construction and infrastructure projects, ensuring alignment with technical specifications, contractual requirements, and project timelines.
Key Responsibilities
- Review tender documents including drawings, BOQs, specifications, scope of work, and contract conditions.
- Conduct detailed quantity take-offs for HVAC, plumbing, firefighting, electrical, ELV, and BMS systems.
- Prepare accurate cost estimates, pricing schedules, and complete bid submissions within deadlines.
- Issue RFQs to suppliers and subcontractors, and evaluate technical and commercial offers.
- Prepare vendor and subcontractor comparison reports to support pricing and supplier selection.
- Analyze project requirements to ensure compliance with client and consultant standards.
- Identify scope gaps, technical clarifications, and bid-stage qualifications.
- Coordinate with design, procurement, and project teams to validate technical solutions and pricing.
- Develop value engineering proposals and cost-saving alternatives.
- Maintain updated databases for unit rates, supplier quotations, and historical project costs.
- Prepare commercial and technical submittals for tender packages.
- Support smooth project handover to execution teams with complete cost breakdowns and assumptions.
