Job Description
We are looking for an experienced MEP Electrical & Plumbing Draftsman to join our team. The ideal candidate should have strong knowledge of MEP drafting, shop drawings, coordination drawings, and as-built drawings for building construction projects.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare detailed Electrical and Plumbing MEP drawings using AutoCAD.
- Develop shop drawings, installation drawings, coordination drawings, and as-built drawings.
- Prepare layouts for electrical power, lighting, containment, and other MEP services.
- Prepare plumbing drawings including water supply, drainage, and sanitary systems.
- Coordinate MEP drawings with architectural, structural, and other services.
- Review drawings and ensure compliance with project specifications and requirements.
- Incorporate engineers’ comments and revise drawings accordingly.
- Assist engineers and site teams with technical drawings and documentation.
- Maintain proper drawing standards, revisions, and document control.
- Coordinate with consultants, contractors, and other disciplines when required.
Requirements
- Diploma/ITI or relevant qualification in Electrical, Mechanical, or MEP Drafting.
- 2–5 years of relevant experience in MEP drafting, preferably in the UAE/GCC.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD is required.
- Knowledge of electrical and plumbing systems and MEP coordination.
- Ability to read and understand architectural, structural, and MEP drawings.
- Knowledge of UAE construction practices and standards is an advantage.
- Good communication and coordination skills.
- Candidates who can join immediately will be preferred.
