Job Summary:
We are looking for an experienced MEP CAD Operator with a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience to prepare, modify, and maintain accurate Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing (MEP) drawings for Oil & Gas projects. The role involves producing shop drawings, as-built drawings, and coordination drawings while ensuring compliance with project specifications, industry standards, and client requirements. The ideal candidate should have strong AutoCAD skills and the ability to coordinate effectively with multidisciplinary teams.
Mandatory Requirements & Qualifications:
Experience:
- Minimum 5 years of experience as an MEP CAD Operator.
- Oil & Gas project experience is mandatory.
- Experience on QatarEnergy, Ras Laffan, or other major Oil & Gas projects is preferred.
Education:
- Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Drafting, or a related discipline.
Technical Skills:
- Proficiency in AutoCAD (Mandatory).
- Experience preparing MEP shop drawings, fabrication drawings, coordination drawings, and as-built drawings.
- Good knowledge of HVAC, Plumbing, Fire Fighting, and Electrical systems.
- Understanding of P&IDs, equipment layouts, and utility drawings.
- Knowledge of Autodesk Navisworks or Revit MEP is an added advantage.
Mandatory Criteria:
- Minimum 5 years of MEP CAD drafting experience.
- Oil & Gas project experience is mandatory.
- Strong knowledge of international codes and project standards.
- Ability to coordinate with Mechanical, Electrical, Civil, and Structural teams.
- Excellent communication skills and attention to detail.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and update MEP shop drawings, fabrication drawings, coordination drawings, and as-built drawings using AutoCAD.
- Coordinate with multidisciplinary engineering teams to resolve drawing conflicts and ensure compliance with project specifications and applicable codes.
- Maintain drawing revisions, document control, material layouts, and provide drafting support throughout project execution.
