Position: High & Medium Voltage Technician
- Execute preventative maintenance on high and medium voltage switch gear transformers and substations to ensure system reliability and minimize downtime
- Perform diagnostic testing and troubleshooting of electrical faults in power distribution systems identifying root causes for efficient repair
- Safely operate and de-energize high voltage equipment according to strict safety protocols and lockout tagout procedures
- Install inspect and maintain protective relays circuit breakers and other control systems to safeguard electrical infrastructure
- Possession of a High School Diploma or equivalent; vocational training in electrical technology is highly advantageous
- Completion of a recognized apprenticeship program in electrical power systems or a related field
- Relevant certifications such as Journeyman Electrician, Master Electrician, or specialized high voltage training
- Minimum of 5 years of hands-on experience working with high and medium voltage electrical systems in industrial or utility environments
