Medical Transcriptionist Jobs in Abu Dhabi at International Knee & Joint Centre
Key Responsibilities
- Transcribe dictated recordings (consultation notes, operative reports, discharge summaries, referral letters, and other clinical documentation) into accurate written reports.
- Review and edit transcribed reports for grammar, clarity, and consistency while preserving clinical meaning.
- Verify patient information, medical terminology, drug names, and procedure codes for accuracy.
- Distinguish and correctly interpret medical abbreviations, acronyms, and terminology specific to orthopedics and joint care.
- Return completed reports within established turnaround times.
- Flag inconsistencies, missing information, or unclear dictation to the relevant physician for clarification.
- Maintain strict confidentiality of patient records in accordance with HIPAA/DOH (Department of Health Abu Dhabi) data protection standards.
- Ensure all documentation is properly filed and integrated into the Electronic Medical Records (EMR) system.
- Coordinate with physicians, nursing staff, and administrative teams to ensure smooth documentation workflows.
- Stay current with medical terminology updates, transcription software, and industry best practices.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Should be readily available to join. No notice period.
- Diploma or certificate in Medical Transcription, Health Information Management, or a related field.
- Minimum 2 years of experience in medical transcription, preferably within an orthopedic, surgical, or multi-specialty clinical setting.
- Strong knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, and physiology (orthopedic/musculoskeletal knowledge preferred).
- Proficiency in transcription software and EMR systems.
- Excellent typing speed and accuracy (minimum 60–70 WPM preferred).
- Strong command of English grammar, spelling, and punctuation.
- High attention to detail and ability to work independently under deadlines.
- Familiarity with UAE healthcare documentation and DOH compliance standards is an advantage.
Pay: From AED1.00 per month
