Job Summary:
The national referral hospital of the Republic of Naoero, is seeking experienced and compassionate Medical Surgical Nurses to join our multidisciplinary healthcare team. This role offers a unique opportunity to provide high-quality inpatient care while working in a culturally diverse and supportive environment..
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver comprehensive nursing care to medical and surgical inpatients.
- Assess, monitor, and document patients’ clinical conditions and progress.
- Administer medications and treatments in accordance with physician orders.
- Provide pre-operative and post-operative nursing care.
- Perform wound care, IV therapy, catheter care, and medication administration.
- Monitor vital signs and promptly report any changes in patient condition.
- Maintain accurate patient records and nursing documentation.
- Educate patients and their families on treatment plans and discharge care.
- Adhere to infection prevention and control protocols.
- Collaborate effectively with physicians and the multidisciplinary healthcare team.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree or Diploma in Nursing.
- Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in your home country.
- Minimum 3-5 years of recent Medical Surgical/Ward nursing experience in an acute care hospital.
- Current BLS Certification (ACLS is an advantage).
- Excellent clinical assessment, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Willingness to relocate to the Republic of Nauru.
- Excellent clinical, communication, and teamwork skills
- Adaptability and cultural sensitivity for working in a remote setting
