Job Announcement: Medical Procurement Specialist
Mughanim Medical Company announces the availability of a position titled Medical Procurement Specialist, to work within its team in managing procurement, aiming to ensure the provision of medical supplies efficiently and with the best quality and price.
Job Objective
To provide all medical supplies needs including pharmaceuticals, medical consumables, and care products, ensuring cost efficiency and operational continuity.
Responsibilities and Duties
Receiving purchase requests from various departments, reviewing them, and ensuring compliance with established policies, while working on consolidating requests and improving procurement processes.
Building and updating a database of suppliers and continuously searching for new suppliers, evaluating them in terms of price, quality, and compliance.
Requesting multiple price quotations and preparing detailed comparison tables and cost analysis against quality to select the most suitable.
Negotiating with suppliers to obtain the best prices and terms and improving payment conditions, and assisting in preparing procurement agreements.
Issuing purchase orders accurately and following up on their execution, ensuring supplier compliance with delivery schedules, and coordinating with the warehouse for receipt and inspection operations.
Ensuring product compliance with established specifications and monitoring expiration dates and handling non-compliant items or returns.
Monitoring inventory levels in coordination with the warehouse and supporting order return operations to prevent shortages or overstocking, and working on reducing waste and cost.
Preparing periodic reports on expenditures and actual procurement and analyzing supplier performance and price trends in the market.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Pharmacy, or any relevant health-related field.
Experience of two to five years in procurement, preferably in the healthcare sector.
Good knowledge of pharmaceuticals and medical consumables.
Performance Indicators
Achieving cost savings, speed of order execution, accuracy of purchase orders, continuity of supply, supplier performance, and reducing waste.
Deliverables
Requesting price quotations from suppliers, recommending the appropriate supplier, negotiating within the specified deliverables, and raising procurement recommendations for management approval.
Scope of Work
The work includes all departments of the facility such as pharmacy, clinics, and laboratories, in addition to dealing with pharmaceuticals and medical consumables and care products.
