Title: Mechanical Test Laboratory Technician

Key Accountabilities & Activities

• Testing & Preparation: Prepare test specimens and perform mechanical tests, including lay-ups, autoclaving, and coupon machining.

• Safety Compliance: Execute all tests using approved PPE (including respirators) and report any near-misses to the HSE Manager.

• Equipment Care: Ensure all tools are within calibration; perform daily logs, maintain equipment record books, and report malfunctions to the Lab Supervisor.

• Data Management: Utilize computers for mathematical calculations and graph preparation; support the creation of MTL documentation.

• Operational Excellence: Follow strict methodologies for analysis and contribute to cost-efficient resource usage.

Requirements

Qualifications & Requirements

• Experience: Minimum of 2 years of relevant experience.

• Education: High School Diploma or equivalent

• Technical Skills:
  

• Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Word), Google Workspace, SAP, and LIMS.

• Experience operating CNC machines, band saws, autoclaves, and UTM preferred.

• Ability to read and understand technical procedures and specifications.

• Must be certifiable for half-face/mask cartridge respirator use.

Working Conditions

• Location: Abu Dhabi, UAE.

• Schedule: 5 days per week on a rotating shift pattern (Day, Afternoon, Night).

• Physical Demands: Requires standing for extended periods and the ability to lift or pull process tools and materials.
