Job Summary
We are seeking experienced Mechanical Technicians with hands-on experience in Thermal Power Plants for a long-term assignment in Saudi Arabia. The candidate will be responsible for maintenance, troubleshooting, inspection, and repair of mechanical equipment to ensure safe and reliable plant operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance activities on thermal power plant equipment.
- Inspect, troubleshoot, and repair rotating and stationary equipment such as pumps, compressors, turbines, blowers, valves, gearboxes, and conveyors.
- Carry out equipment alignment, bearing replacement, vibration checks, and mechanical overhauls.
- Execute maintenance activities during plant shutdowns and turnaround projects.
- Monitor equipment performance and identify potential issues to minimize downtime.
- Read and interpret engineering drawings, P&IDs, maintenance manuals, and technical specifications.
- Ensure compliance with plant safety procedures, permit‑to‑work systems, and HSE regulations.
- Maintain maintenance records and prepare reports on completed work.
- Coordinate with supervisors and operations teams to ensure smooth plant operations.
- Assist in commissioning, testing, and troubleshooting of mechanical systems when required.
Education
- ITI in Mechanical Trade or Diploma in Mechanical Engineering.
Experience
- Minimum 3–8 years of experience in Thermal Power Plants.
- Experience in maintenance of boilers, turbines, pumps, compressors, fans, conveyors, and auxiliary systems.
- Familiarity with preventive and corrective maintenance practices.
- Experience in shutdown and turnaround maintenance activities is preferred.
