Mechanical Technician (Rotating and Static Equipment) Responsibilities

Perform preventive, corrective, and emergency maintenance on mechanical equipment to maximize plant reliability, availability, and operational efficiency.
Diagnose mechanical faults, troubleshoot equipment failures, and carry out timely repairs to minimize plant downtime.
Execute maintenance work orders using CMMS while ensuring compliance with OEM specifications, maintenance procedures, and quality standards.
Ensure strict adherence to HSE policies, Permit-to-Work systems, safety procedures, and safe use of tools and equipment during all maintenance activities.
Collaborate with Mechanical Engineers, Operations teams, and contractors to plan, execute, and document routine and emergency maintenance activities accurately.

Requirements

Diploma in Mechanical Engineering with a minimum of 3 years’ experience in mechanical maintenance within power generation, desalination, utilities, heavy industry, or oil & gas sectors.
Hands‑on experience maintaining rotating and static equipment
, including exposure to Gas Turbine and multi‑stage desalination plant systems.
Proficient in preventive, corrective, and breakdown maintenance, fault diagnosis, troubleshooting, and CMMS, following OEM maintenance standards.
Certified or trained in First Aid
, Emergency Fire Fighting
, and knowledgeable in Permit-to-Work (PTW), HSE procedures, plant isolation, and safe work practices.
Strong analytical, problem‑solving, communication, and teamwork skills with the ability to work independently in multicultural, high‑pressure industrial environments.
