Job Summary
We are looking for a skilled Mechanical Technician to perform troubleshooting, inspection, maintenance, and repair of mechanical equipment to ensure safe, reliable, and efficient plant operations. The ideal candidate will have hands‑on experience in the petrochemical or mining industry with strong technical expertise in rotating and static equipment maintenance.
Roles & Responsibilities
- Perform troubleshooting, inspection, maintenance, and repair of mechanical equipment and machinery.
- Execute preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance activities to maximize equipment reliability.
- Diagnose mechanical faults and implement effective repair solutions to minimize downtime.
- Inspect equipment and identify potential issues before failures occur.
- Read and interpret mechanical drawings, technical manuals, and maintenance procedures.
- Ensure all maintenance work complies with company quality standards and HSE regulations.
- Prepare maintenance reports, work records, and related documentation.
- Coordinate with engineers, supervisors, and operations teams to complete maintenance activities efficiently.
- Maintain tools, equipment, and work areas in a safe and organized condition.
- Support commissioning, shutdown, and turnaround maintenance activities when required.
Mandatory Requirements
- Diploma or Technical Certificate in Mechanical Engineering, Mechanical Technology, or a related discipline.
- Minimum 4 years of experience in mechanical troubleshooting, maintenance, and repair.
- Mandatory experience in the petrochemical or mining industry.
- Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings and technical documentation.
- Good understanding of industrial maintenance practices, safety procedures, and equipment reliability.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
