Mechanical Maintenance Technician

Job Summary
Hira Industries LLC is looking for a skilled and hands-on Mechanical Maintenance Technician to maintain, troubleshoot and repair production machinery and mechanical equipment. The candidate will be responsible for preventive, corrective and breakdown maintenance to ensure maximum equipment reliability and minimum production downtime.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform preventive, corrective and breakdown maintenance of production machinery and mechanical equipment.
- Troubleshoot mechanical faults and restore equipment to normal operating condition with minimum downtime.
- Maintain and repair pumps, compressors, gearboxes, conveyors, motors, valves, bearings, couplings and other rotating equipment.
- Carry out inspection, lubrication, alignment and replacement of worn or damaged components.
- Troubleshoot and maintain hydraulic and pneumatic systems.
- Perform equipment dismantling, repair, assembly and installation.
- Conduct routine inspections to identify abnormal vibration, leakage, wear and other potential failures.
- Read and interpret mechanical drawings, equipment manuals and technical specifications.
- Support machine installation, commissioning, modification and improvement activities.
- Assist production teams during machine start-up, changeovers and breakdown situations.
- Maintain proper records of maintenance activities, breakdowns, spare parts and equipment history.
- Coordinate with Production and Electrical Maintenance teams to resolve equipment issues.
- Follow preventive maintenance schedules and ensure timely completion of assigned work orders.
- Maintain proper housekeeping in the workshop and production areas.
- Follow company HSE procedures, PPE requirements and Permit-to-Work systems.
- Participate in root-cause analysis and continuous improvement activities.
Requirements
- ITI / Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or Mechanical Maintenance.
- 3–5 years of relevant industrial maintenance experience; manufacturing experience preferred.
- Hands-on experience with:
- Pumps and compressors
- Gearboxes
- Conveyors
- Bearings and couplings
- Hydraulic systems
- Pneumatic systems
- Valves and piping
- Rotating equipment
- Good knowledge of preventive and breakdown maintenance.
- Ability to read mechanical drawings and equipment manuals.
- Knowledge of shaft/coupling alignment and lubrication.
- Good troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Basic knowledge of welding/fabrication will be an advantage.
- Knowledge of HSE and Permit-to-Work procedures.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a maintenance team.
- Willingness to work shifts and attend emergency breakdowns when required.
- UAE manufacturing experience is preferred.
- Immediate joiners are preferred.
Pay: AED1,300.00 – AED1,600.00 per month
