Mechanical Inspector (Equipment) – Qatar Desalination Project
We are seeking an experienced Mechanical Inspector (Equipment) to join our team for a major Desalination (RO Plant) in Qatar.
This role is ideal for candidates with extensive experience in the inspection of rotating and static equipment within Oil & Gas, Petrochemical, Power, or Desalination projects.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform inspection of rotating and static mechanical equipment during installation, alignment, testing, and commissioning.
- Inspect pumps, compressors, turbines, blowers, pressure vessels, heat exchangers, tanks, filters, and package equipment.
- Verify compliance with approved drawings, specifications, ITPs, and international standards.
- Witness mechanical installation, alignment, hydrotesting, flushing, and pre-commissioning activities.
- Review inspection reports, test records, and quality documentation.
- Coordinate with QA/QC Engineers, Construction Engineers, and Client Inspectors.
- Raise NCRs and ensure timely corrective actions.
- Ensure compliance with project HSE and quality requirements.
Minimum Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree or Diploma in Mechanical Engineering.
- Minimum 8 years of experience in mechanical equipment inspection.
- Minimum 5 years GCC experience in Oil & Gas, Petrochemical, Power Plant, or Desalination EPC projects.

- Pre-Commissioning
- Familiar with ASME, API, ASTM, ISO, and applicable international standards.
- Experience working with EPC contractors is highly preferred.
- Immediate or short notice candidates are preferred.
Preferred Qualifications
- CSWIP 3.1 or equivalent inspection certification (preferred).
- NDT Level II certification is an advantage.
- Experience in desalination or RO plant projects is highly preferred.
- Strong communication and reporting skills.

Pay: QAR3,500.00 – QAR7,000.00 per month
