Job Description
Responsibilities include inspecting and monitoring construction sites to meet safety standards, building codes, and specifications.
- Inspect and monitor construction sites to meet safety standards, building codes and specifications.
- Conduct regular inspection using instruments, metering devices, and tape measures.
- Monitor and verify the quality of materials, workmanship, and construction processes.
- Identify deviations or deficiencies and recommend corrective actions to maintain quality standards.
- Conduct tests, measurements, and sampling as required.
- Ensure compliance with local building codes, regulations, permits, and safety standards.
- Review and approve construction-related documents, including method statements, material submittals, and drawings, to ensure compliance with project requirements.
- Prepare detailed inspection reports, documenting observations, findings, and non-conformities.
- Maintain accurate records of inspections, tests, and approvals.
- Review contractor’s daily reports and progress claims.
- Support ILF’s Site Engineer and construction Manager.
- Report and follow-up on activities on the Project.
- Attend meetings with Clients, Third Parties, etc.
- Attend all Company‑organised training courses when invited.
- Be aware of and obey the Company QHSE rules; perform activities required by relevant procedures.
Application Requirements
- Professional certification or licensure as Inspector is desirable.
- Proven experience as inspector in PMC or construction projects.
- Strong knowledge of relevant engineering principles, construction techniques, and materials.
- Familiarity with codes, regulations, and industry standards.
- Ability to read and interpret construction plans, drawings, and specifications.
- Proficient in conducting inspections, tests, and quality control procedures.
- Excellent communication skills to interact effectively with project stakeholders.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to identify deviations and non-conformities.
- Knowledge of safety and environmental regulations and practices.
- Proficient in using relevant software applications for documentation and reporting.
- More than 5 years relevant experience in a similar role.
- Familiar with on-site operations.
- GCC/UAE experience desirable.
