Job Overview
We are urgently seeking an experienced Mechanical Inspector for a building and infrastructure project in Doha, Qatar. The ideal candidate should have strong HVAC inspection experience within MEP building projects, along with consultancy, construction, and infrastructure experience.
Key Requirements
- Diploma / Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field
- Minimum 7 years of relevant experience in Qatar
- HVAC inspection experience is mandatory
- Consultancy experience is mandatory
- MEP Building Project experience is mandatory
- Construction and infrastructure project experience required
- Strong knowledge of HVAC installation, testing, commissioning, and inspection procedures
- Experience reviewing shop drawings, material submittals, method statements, and inspection requests
- Good knowledge of MEP coordination and site quality requirements
- Strong understanding of project specifications, approved drawings, and applicable standards
- Excellent communication and coordination skills
- Must be currently available in Qatar
- Freelance visa holders preferred
- Immediate joiners preferred
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct inspections of HVAC and mechanical works at site
- Ensure HVAC installations comply with approved drawings, specifications, and project requirements
- Review HVAC shop drawings, material submissions, method statements, and inspection requests
- Monitor installation, testing, and commissioning activities
- Identify non-conforming works and coordinate corrective actions
- Coordinate with contractors, consultants, MEP teams, and other disciplines
- Monitor quality and workmanship of mechanical installations
- Prepare inspection reports and maintain relevant quality documentation
- Support project teams in resolving technical and site-related HVAC issues
