About the Role
We are seeking a qualified and experienced Mechanical Engineer with Qatar Civil Defence (QCDD) Approval to join our engineering team. The successful candidate will be responsible for the design, coordination, and delivery of mechanical building services, with a strong focus on fire protection and life safety systems in accordance with Qatar Civil Defence and international standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and prepare mechanical building services drawings, calculations, and technical specifications.
- Design fire protection systems, including sprinkler, standpipe, hose reel, fire pumps, and clean agent systems in compliance with QCDD and NFPA standards.
- Design HVAC, ventilation, chilled water, plumbing, drainage, and LPG systems for various building types.
- Prepare hydraulic calculations, equipment sizing, and technical reports.
- Coordinate mechanical designs with architectural, structural, electrical, and other MEP disciplines.
- Prepare and submit documents for Qatar Civil Defence, Ashghal, Kahramaa, and other authority approvals.
- Review shop drawings, material submittals, and technical submissions.
- Conduct site inspections and provide technical support during construction.
- Ensure compliance with Qatar Construction Specifications (QCS), NFPA, ASHRAE, SMACNA, IPC, and other applicable standards.
- Support projects from concept design through IFC documentation and construction.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering.
- Valid Qatar Civil Defence (QCDD) Approval is mandatory.
- Minimum 5 years of mechanical design experience, preferably in Qatar or the GCC.
- Strong knowledge of:
- Fire Protection Systems
- HVAC Systems
- Plumbing & Drainage
- Mechanical Building Services
- Experience with authority submissions and obtaining QCDD approvals.
- Proficiency in:
- AutoCAD
- Revit MEP
- HAP or equivalent HVAC design software
- Elite Fire or equivalent hydraulic calculation software
- Microsoft Office
- Excellent communication, coordination, and problem-solving skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Valid UPDA/MMUP Certification is an advantage.
- Experience in healthcare, commercial, residential, hospitality, or mixed-use developments.
- Strong BIM coordination experience.
- Familiarity with sustainable and energy-efficient building design.

Pay: QAR3,686.32 – QAR8,000.00 per month
