Mechanical Engineer (Construction / Site Execution) Jobs in Abu Dhabi at INSPIRE BUILDERS GENERAL CONTRACTING COMPANY
Role Purpose
To deliver the mechanical construction scope on site — HVAC, ductwork, chilled water / refrigerant piping, ventilation, plumbing, drainage and firefighting — from installation through testing, commissioning and handover in line with approved drawings and UAE codes.
Key Responsibilities
- HVAC installation Supervise installation of AHUs, FCUs, split / package / VRF units, chillers and pumps; ductwork fabrication and erection, dampers, diffusers and insulation.
- Piping systems Deliver chilled-water, refrigerant, condensate and other mechanical piping including supports, valves, pressure testing and insulation.
- Plumbing & drainage Coordinate installation of water supply, soil, waste and rainwater drainage, pumps and sanitary fixtures alongside the plumbing supervisor.
- Firefighting Supervise sprinkler, wet-riser and fire-pump installation and coordinate Civil Defence requirements.
- Ventilation Deliver fresh-air, exhaust and smoke-management systems.
- Drawings & take-off Interpret mechanical shop drawings and schedules; prepare take-offs, submittals and procurement requests.
- Testing & commissioning Plan and witness pressure tests, flushing, TAB (testing, adjusting & balancing) and functional commissioning; compile records and as-builts.
- Quality, progress, safety & approvals Raise inspection requests, control quality, coordinate authority / Civil Defence inspections, track progress and enforce HSE.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree or Diploma in Mechanical Engineering.
- UAE Society of Engineers / MMUP (UPDA) registration is an advantage.
Required Experience & Skills
- 4–6 years with a mechanical / MEP contractor on construction projects — buildings, villas, warehouses, parks or fit-outs.
- Hands-on delivery of HVAC, plumbing, drainage and firefighting installations.
- Understanding of duct / pipe sizing, equipment schedules and mechanical specifications.
- Experience with pressure testing, flushing, TAB and commissioning.
- Familiarity with UAE mechanical codes and Civil Defence requirements.
Pay: AED4,000.00 – AED7,000.00 per month
