Cataloging Engineer
As a Cataloging Engineer, you will be responsible for ensuring the accuracy, consistency, and completeness of master data within our clients’ SAP MDG environments. You will play a crucial role in maintaining data quality, improving data governance, and supporting business processes through effective cataloging practices.
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement data cataloging strategies within SAP MDG.
- Analyze and interpret business requirements to define data standards and specifications.
- Create and maintain material master data, vendor master data, and other relevant master data objects.
- Utilize SAP MDG functionalities for data validation, enrichment, and governance.
- Perform data cleansing and data migration activities (is a plus).
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure data consistency and alignment.
- Develop and maintain documentation related to data cataloging processes and procedures, particularly in Saudi Aramco standards.
- Troubleshoot and resolve data-related issues related to Spare Part Data Package (SPDP).
- Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance data quality and efficiency.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in mechanical or electrical engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum of 7 years of experience in data cataloging and master data management.
- Strong expertise in SAP Master Data Governance (MDG).
- Proficiency in creating and maintaining material master data, vendor master data, and other master data objects.
- Experience with data cleansing, data migration, and data validation techniques (is a plus).
- Strong understanding of data governance principles and best practices.
- Excellent analytical and problem‑solving skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
