Mechanical Engineer – Qatar

CLIENT

Linum Consult’s client is a major organisation in the Middle East. They are currently seeking a Mechanical Engineer from an industrial construction background to join their team in Qatar.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Overseeing the mechanical engineering design works for large-scale industrial buildings and power plant construction
• Reviewing and advising on technical specifications of the HVAC and Building Services equipment, and ensuring the constructability of design packages
• Coordinating with the construction teams
• Ensuring compliance with deadlines and budgets
• Ensuring compliance with health and safety requirements and regulations

Requirements

PROFILE

• Degree qualification in Mechanical Engineering
• At least 12 years of experience in similar roles on industrial or power construction projects
• Excellent technical knowledge of HVAC, MEP, and/or Building Services equipment
• Experienced in the design of mechanical equipment for large-scale building complexes
• Strong familiarity with mechanical safety codes and regulations in the GCC region
• Good IT skills, particularly in MS Office
• Excellent communication skills in English
• First preference will be given to candidates currently in Qatar
