Position: Mechanical Engineer ()
Job Description
The mechanic provides support for automated material handling equipment in warehouses and distribution centers, focusing on troubleshooting and problem solving. The mechanic should have knowledge of mechanical principles, motors, drivers, belts, and bearings.
Accountabilities
Perform corrective maintenance and troubleshooting at the first level, including reactive, proactive, and preventative maintenance on equipment such as roller and belt conveyors, high bay cranes (pallet and tote), pick-to-light systems, sortation, carton assembly, strapping, wrapping, spiral and telescopic conveyors.
Conduct service and maintenance work, address breakdowns, and perform urgent repairs to support the site.
Ensure company procedures and standards are followed and maintained.
Maintain good service and support to ensure customer satisfaction.
Follow up and resolve issues highlighted through the support organization.
Communicate effectively in high-impact scenarios.
Assist in identifying root causes of faults and production errors.
Work with onsite staff to ensure maximum system uptime.
Be cost-conscious and conserve organizational resources; develop and implement cost-saving measures.
Respond promptly to service requests, incorporate feedback to improve service, and meet commitments.
Employee duties are not limited to the above accountabilities; additional duties may be assigned.
Work Environment
Indoor: 80%
Outdoor: 20%
Working Days: 6 days/week
Day Off: 1 day/week
Working Hours:
8 hours/day, rotating shifts (includes 1-hour break)
Job Requirements
2-year degree in Mechatronic, Electronic, Mechanical Technology, or equivalent experience.
Experience
3-5 years of equipment maintenance experience, preferably with automation.
