Position: MECHANICAL & ELECTRICAL DRAFTSMAN

Overview

Mechanical Draftsman and Electrical Draftsman responsibilities include preparing detailed shop drawings, coordination drawings, and as‑built drawings for Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing (MEP) services. Develop accurate drawings for HVAC, Plumbing, Drainage, Fire Fighting, Lighting, Power Layouts, Containment, Substations, DB schedules, and Schematic Diagrams based on project specifications. Ensure drawings meet project standards, local regulations, and client requirements, and collaborate with engineers and site teams throughout the project lifecycle.

Responsibilities

• Prepare detailed shop drawings, coordination drawings, and as‑built drawings for MEP services (Mechanical and Electrical).
• Develop accurate drawings for HVAC, Plumbing, Drainage, Fire Fighting, Lighting, Power Layouts, Containment, Substations, DB schedules, and Schematic Diagrams.
• Review engineering drawings, design documents, and technical specifications before drafting.
• Coordinate with Mechanical Engineers, Site Engineers, and other MEP disciplines to resolve drawing conflicts.
• Update drawings based on site changes, consultant comments, and project revisions.
• Ensure all drawings comply with project standards, local regulations, and client requirements.
• Maintain proper documentation and drawing revision records.
• Provide drafting support during project execution and final handover documentation.

Qualifications

• Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Drafting, or a related discipline.
• Minimum 3–5 years of GCC/MEP drafting experience is preferred.
• Proficient in AutoCAD with the ability to prepare accurate shop drawings and as‑built drawings.
• Good understanding of MEP standards, construction drawings, and coordination requirements.
• Ability to interpret engineering drawings, specifications, and project requirements.
• Experience working on commercial, residential, or industrial construction projects.
• Familiar with local and international drafting standards.
• Strong attention to detail, time management, and communication skills.
• Able to work independently as well as in a team environment.
• Ready to join immediately or on short notice will be an advantage.
