Our Multi National Consultancy client has a new requirement for a well experienced Consultant Mechanical Design Engineer to join their team in Dubai to work on a high profile new build residential projects. Successful candidates will have a proven background as a Consultant Mechanical Design Engineer working on high profile projects in the Emirates. Only candidates with a track record of working for recognised supervision consultants or PMC Companies will be considered.
This role is available for immediate joining and is an initial 3 month contract position hire as an outsource, employed by J10 Consulting.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead the design and integration of mechanical systems in buildings, including HVAC, plumbing, fire protection, and energy management systems.
Develop comprehensive mechanical plans and specifications that align with architectural designs and structural constraints.
Perform load calculations, energy modeling, and system sizing to ensure optimal performance and energy efficiency of building systems.
Utilize building information modeling (BIM) tools like Revit to create detailed 3D models of mechanical systems within the building structure.
Coordinate with architects, structural engineers, electrical engineers, and contractors to ensure seamless integration of mechanical systems with other building components.
Incorporate sustainable design principles into mechanical systems, aiming to achieve certifications such as LEED, BREEAM, or WELL.
Ensure that all mechanical systems comply with local building codes, industry standards, and safety regulations.
Identify and mitigate risks associated with mechanical systems design, such as potential failures, safety hazards, or non-compliance with regulations.
Lead design reviews and value engineering sessions to optimize the design for cost-effectiveness and constructability.
Continuously improve design processes and tools to increase efficiency and quality of deliverables.
