Job Summary
Mobco Group is seeking a highly skilled Mechanical Design Engineer to join our engineering team for major projects in Riyadh and Khobar. The ideal candidate will possess strong experience in the design, review, and coordination of mechanical systems for large-scale construction projects, with a proven background working for leading contracting companies.
The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and reviewing mechanical designs, coordinating with multidisciplinary teams, and ensuring compliance with project specifications, local regulations, and international engineering standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare, review, and coordinate mechanical design drawings and calculations.
- Design and develop HVAC, Plumbing, Drainage, and Firefighting systems in accordance with project requirements.
- Review IFC drawings, specifications, and consultant design packages.
- Prepare technical submittals, design reports, calculations, and engineering documentation.
- Coordinate with Architectural, Structural, Electrical, and BIM teams to ensure design integration.
- Conduct design reviews and identify clashes, constructability issues, and technical conflicts.
- Support value engineering initiatives and design optimization efforts.
- Participate in technical meetings with consultants, clients, and project stakeholders.
- Ensure compliance with local authority requirements, international codes, and project specifications.
- Provide technical support to site execution teams during construction and commissioning phases.
- Review material submittals and participate in technical evaluations of suppliers and subcontractors.
- Support testing, commissioning, and project handover activities.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering.
- Minimum 7 years of experience in Mechanical Design Engineering.
- Proven experience working with reputable contracting companies is mandatory.
- Strong experience in HVAC, Plumbing, Drainage, and Firefighting system design.
- Experience in large-scale commercial, residential, hospitality, mixed-use, or infrastructure developments.
- Strong understanding of design coordination and multidisciplinary project environments.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit MEP, HAP, Navisworks, and Microsoft Office applications.
- Excellent analytical, technical, and problem-solving skills.
Mandatory Requirements
- Minimum 7 years of relevant experience.
- Previous experience with contracting companies is mandatory.
- Mega project experience is mandatory.
- Experience working on projects within Saudi Arabia or the GCC region is highly preferred.
- Ability to coordinate effectively with consultants, contractors, and site teams.
- Immediate availability is preferred.
