The Mechanic is responsible for inspecting, diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining vehicles and machinery. Key Responsibilities:
- Inspection and Diagnosis:
- Conduct thorough inspections of vehicles to diagnose mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues.
- Utilize diagnostic tools and software to identify faults.
- Repairs and Maintenance:
- Perform maintenance and repair tasks on various vehicle components, including engines, transmissions, brakes, and suspension systems.
- Replace or repair defective parts using precision tools and equipment.
- Documentation:
- Maintain detailed records of repairs, services, and parts used.
- Update vehicle service history for accurate tracking.
- Compliance and Safety:
- Adhere to safety guidelines and ensure all repairs meet industry standards.
- Follow company protocols for environmental and waste management.
- Team Collaboration:
- Work with other technicians and staff to ensure efficient workflow in the workshop.
- Provide guidance to junior mechanics and apprentices when required.
Skills and Competencies:
- Technical Expertise: Proficient in automotive systems and components, including engines, electrical systems, and diagnostics.
- Problem-Solving: Ability to diagnose and resolve complex mechanical issues.
