JOB TITLE
Material Manager / Material Coordinator (Brownfield Refinery Projects)
WORK PURPOSE
Manage all project materials, equipment, and logistics activities including receiving, inspection, storage, preservation, issuance, and traceability in a live refinery brownfield environment, ensuring uninterrupted site execution and full compliance with client and safety standards.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
- Manage material receiving and inspection against approved MTO and specifications
- Coordinate warehouse operations, inventory control, and stock accuracy
- Ensure proper storage conditions, preservation, and material handling standards
- Issue materials to construction teams based on approved requisitions
- Track material consumption, shortages, and raise alerts for critical items
- Coordinate with procurement for expediting and delivery follow-ups
- Maintain full material traceability and documentation records
- Manage free-issue materials from client (BH / SASREF or similar)
- Ensure compliance with hazardous material storage and safety regulations
- Oversee scrap management, returns, and disposal activities
REQUIRED COMPETENCES
Must-Have Requirements
- Minimum 5+ years’ experience in material management within KSA oil & gas projects
- Strong background in refinery/brownfield environments (SABIC / Aramco projects preferred)
- Solid experience in warehouse operations, inventory control, and material handling systems
- Knowledge of material preservation, traceability systems, and HSE compliance including H2S safety
Nice-to-Have Requirements
- Previous experience on SASREF or similar refinery projects
- Hands-on experience with SAP or similar ERP material management systems
- Certification in forklift operation and dangerous goods handling
- Exposure to construction logistics coordination in live refinery shutdown or SIMOPS environments
QUALIFICATIONS
- Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, Engineering, or related field preferred
- Safety certifications (H2S, warehouse safety) are mandatory or highly preferred
