Overview:
We are looking to hire a Material and Equipment Technician for an oil and gas operator in Doha, Qatar.
Candidates must have a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in a similar role.
Fluency in English is a must.
Key Responsibilities:
The incumbent is responsible for performing safe delivery of routine daily inspection, maintenance and preservation works for EPRS materials and equipment in EPRS facilities i.e. RLIC warehouse and Frame Storage Yard in the Port area, it’s a member of a multi-discipline team, supports in executing any EPRS emergency requirements by responding in a safe and efficient manner.
Maintain and update operating, inspection, maintenance and preservation manual from Contractor/Vendor and record control and keeping system and update as necessary to ensure proper retrieval of records as required specific for RLIC warehouse and Frame Storage at Port area.
Execute the Inspection, maintenance, preservation and troubleshooting activities for the EPRS materials and equipment with routine warehouse inventory checks. Execute a continuous improvement plan on the maintenance effectiveness process and take corrective actions.
Execute loads, secures, transport, delivers, and unload EPRS material to and from specified destinations.
Collaborate with vendors and contractors for effective and efficient execution within schedule. Ensure completion of QA/QC, HSE procedure and “Permit to Work” in place at works sites.
Follow all safety, environmental and regulatory rules applicable to the facility and complete Control of Work (CoW) requirements daily.
Responsible for identifying and knowing the tools, materials, and procedures before the execution of work.
Adhere to a culture of reliability and continuous improvement.
Understand and align with the Management of Change (MoC) process for all procedural, equipment or process changes as needed.
Ensure shift and crew-change handovers are accurately recorded in the appropriate log and comply with the Guidance and Shift Handovers.
Act as a member of the emergency response team and align with the responsibilities assigned as defined in the Emergency Response Plan. Participate in emergency response exercises to ensure a full understanding of the process and procedures.
Develop, maintain & update the Inspection, maintenance and preservation database for the EPRS materials and Pipeline databases.
Monitor and provide feedback on the maintenance effectiveness process and take corrective action, if required.
Requirements:
Minimum Higher Diploma from a recognised university.
Minimum five (5) years of relevant experience in a similar role.
Valid IMDG certificate.
Rigging & Lifting certification or similar.
Relevant experience in material warehousing, logistics procedures, and material handling and able to deal with and resolve day-to-day operations.
Computer literate.
Good command of the English language; able to read, write and speak fluent English.
Ability to handle multiple tasks with appropriate priority.
Self-starter/self-management/self-drive and ability to work without close monitoring.
Resilient under pressure (both internal and external).
Strong ability to deal with competing priorities and complex issues.
