We are looking for a highly skilled and dynamic Senior Sales Engineer – HVAC (Chillers) to Join our team. The Senior Sales Engineer – HVAC (Chillers) is responsible for the strategic planning, management, and execution of HVAC systems across the organization. This role involves leading a team of HVAC professionals, ensuring system reliability and efficiency, managing budgets, and ensuring compliance with all regulatory standards. Own the P&L responsibility of HVAC Business Unit of Gerab Energy System. Build a reputed brand recall and business portfolio by developing in-house products and partnering with internationally recognized suppliers in the HVAC industry.
Responsibilities:
Product Portfolio and Business Strategy
Remain up-to-date with business developments in the Energy Saving Solutions in HVAC industry locally, regionally and worldwide to identify major business development opportunities by researching industry and related events, publications, and announcements; tracking individual contributors and their accomplishments in the field of Energy Saving, especially in HVAC equipment used in building.
Develop a strategic roadmap for GES and link it to annual business plans in line with market reality and realistic goals to achieve.
Revenue, Gross Margin (P&L) Responsibility
Prepare business plans, budgets and projections in collaboration with Executive Director to meet the business objectives of the Division.
Achieve turnover, profit, return on investment, and market share targets as budgeted.
Responsible for managing the turnover, gross margins and profitability as per yearly budgets.
Business Development
Promote the image, concepts and services through ongoing market intelligence and research, the implementation of sound marketing plans including advertising, promotions etc., to maintain a leadership position.
Screen potential business deals by analyzing market strategies, deal requirements, potential, and financials; evaluating options; resolving internal priorities; recommending equity investments.
Locate proposes potential business deals by contacting potential partners; discovering and exploring opportunities in the field of Energy Saving especially in HVAC euipments used in building.
Partner/ Supplier Management
Negotiate effectively with suppliers to obtain the competitive
Project Implementation Management
Tailor make specific Energy Saving or Efficiency improvement solutions based on the requirements of the clients.
Responsible for conducting site surveys, if required, to analysis and implement the best possible solution.
Prepare and present deal models to top management.
Preparing meticulously and define a project, estimate resource requirements, and drive a project plan through to completion.
Carry out market research and gather industry intelligence too.
Reporting
Responsible to carry out technical, commercial and contractual evaluation of the tailor made solutions with appropriate pricing in proposals / offers to the clients.
pricing of products and solutions in order to maximise the profitability of each project order.
The Senior Sales Engineer – HVAC (Chillers) has to network with top management of various ESCOs, Building Owners Associations and Large Energy Intensive facilities and Industries to offer Energy Saving Solutions.
Identify and develop a portfolio of Energy Saving Solutions using the company’s own products or partnering with Internally recognised suppliers and formulate a plan for successful implementation of these solutions.
Senior Sales Engineer – HVAC (Chillers) shall direct and manage the HVAC Div. team to run the profit centre and report to Executive Director.
COMMUNICATIONS & WORKING RELATIONSHIPS:
Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work with customers to define requirements, particularly for complex systems, and to interact with internal team or with subcontractors to execute projects to fulfil those requirements.
High level of verbal/written communication and presentation skills. Ability to communicate complex, strategic, technical, financial and other issues internally and with customers at a senior level.
Requirements:
BE/B Tech (in Mechanical Engineering) with MBA or equivalent degree are required.
Overall 5-8 yrs. of experience in the industry with a minimum 3 years+ of experience in a Business Development Manager role in an HVAC / Energy industry.
Supporting Business Development/Sales team in building proposal presentations and responses to RFI/RFP/RFQ for customers across solutions/industries and good knowledge of the bid process.
Experience in assessing and delivering business case solutions, with good understanding of Energy Saving related ROI modeling
Business experience, with a proven track record of defining customer needs, establishing competitive positioning and formulating solution.
