Buyer (Contractor Position) – Procurement & Supply Chain

About the Role
We are seeking a Buyer to support procurement and supply chain operations for a dynamic organization in the energy sector. This long-term contract role offers an excellent opportunity to work within a fast-paced environment, managing sourcing, purchasing, and supplier coordination to ensure efficient and cost-effective procurement.
Key Responsibilities
Procurement & Supply Chain Management
Manage end-to-end procurement processes, ensuring timely and cost-effective sourcing of goods and services.
Evaluate supplier proposals, negotiate contracts, and ensure compliance with procurement policies.
Work closely with internal teams to understand technical requirements and align procurement strategies accordingly.
Maintain accurate records of procurement activities within SAP or relevant management systems.
Supplier & Stakeholder Coordination
Build and maintain strong relationships with vendors to ensure quality, cost-effectiveness, and timely delivery.
Analyze supplier performance and identify areas for improvement.
Collaborate with internal teams to align purchasing strategies with business needs.
Data Analysis & Decision-Making
Assess market trends, supplier capabilities, and pricing strategies to optimize procurement decisions.
Utilize strong analytical skills to evaluate technical data and commercial terms.
Ensure compliance with industry standards, policies, and regulatory requirements.
What You Need to Succeed
Qualifications &
Experience:
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Material Management, or Engineering from an accredited institution.
3+ years of experience in procurement and supply chain management.
Oil & Gas industry experience preferred but not mandatory.
Technical &
Soft Skills:
Fluent in written and spoken English (Arabic is a plus).
Strong analytical, communication, and negotiation skills.
Proficiency in SAP or other procurement management systems.
Ability to assess technical specifications and align them with supplier capabilities.
Results-driven, problem solver, and decision-maker with strong interpersonal skills.
